Tirzepatide is a novel dual GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist designed as a single synthetic peptide. It acts on both incretin receptors simultaneously, demonstrating superior glycaemic control and body weight reduction compared to GLP-1 mono-agonists in research models. Studied extensively in metabolic research, obesity biology, insulin sensitivity modulation, and pancreatic beta-cell function.
Synthesised and lyophilised in Zürich to >99% HPLC purity. Lot-traceable with full COA available upon request.

Research & Literature
Tirzepatide was developed as a novel dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. Key clinical studies include the SURPASS clinical trial program, which demonstrated superior HbA1c reduction and body weight loss compared to GLP-1 receptor agonists alone. Research by Frias et al. (2021) in The Lancet reported significant glycaemic improvements in type 2 diabetes patients. Preclinical studies have also explored its role in beta-cell preservation and insulin sensitivity modulation.
