Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our research compounds, quality standards, ordering process and compliance framework.

Product Quality & Testing

All Zürich BioGenix compounds are synthesised to a minimum purity of 98%, verified by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and confirmed by Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Each batch undergoes independent third-party laboratory analysis before release. Certificates of Analysis (CoA) are available upon request.

Our peptides are synthesised in our Zürich-based facility under strict GMP-aligned conditions. Switzerland maintains some of the most rigorous pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing standards in the world, and our processes reflect that commitment. Every compound is traceable from raw amino acid to final lyophilised form.

Yes. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available for every product we supply. Simply contact us with your order reference number and the batch code printed on your documentation. We will provide the corresponding HPLC chromatogram and mass spectrometry data confirming purity and molecular identity.

Every Zürich BioGenix product is assigned a unique batch code in the format LEX + year + month + batch number (e.g. LEX202506A1). You can verify your code instantly using our Verify Our Product page. This confirms that the compound was produced and certified at our Zürich facility.

Research Use & Legal Compliance

All compounds supplied by Zürich BioGenix are intended exclusively for in vitro research and analytical use. They are not approved medicinal products and are not intended for administration to humans or animals. Supply is governed by EU Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) for research and analytical purposes.

Research peptides are not classified as controlled substances under EU law and are not subject to the same regulatory framework as licensed medicinal products, provided they are supplied and purchased strictly for research and analytical purposes. Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and regulations in their own jurisdiction prior to placing an order.

By completing a purchase, customers confirm that they are acquiring compounds solely for research and analytical purposes and that they are aged 18 or over. For institutional or bulk orders, we may request additional documentation confirming the research context. We reserve the right to decline orders that do not align with our research-use policy.

Storage & Handling

Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptide powders should be stored at -20°C in a sealed, moisture-free environment, away from direct light. Under these conditions, most peptides retain stability for 24 months or longer. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as this can degrade molecular integrity over time.

Pre-filled research pen devices should be stored at 2–8°C (standard refrigeration) when in use, and at -20°C for long-term storage prior to first use. Keep away from direct sunlight and do not freeze once the cartridge has been opened or the solution prepared. Refer to the product information leaflet supplied with each pen for compound-specific guidance.

Yes. All orders are dispatched using insulated packaging with pharmaceutical-grade cold packs designed to maintain temperature integrity throughout transit. Lyophilised powders are stable at ambient temperature for short durations, however we apply cold-chain shipping as standard to safeguard product quality during delivery.

Ordering & Shipping

We currently ship to most EU and EEA member states. Shipping eligibility is confirmed at checkout based on your delivery address. If your country is not currently supported, please contact us directly — we may be able to arrange fulfilment through our distribution partners.

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days. Estimated delivery times vary by destination: 2–4 business days for Western Europe, and 3–6 business days for other EU regions. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout. All orders are fully tracked.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay where available. All transactions are processed over an encrypted, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We do not store card details on our servers.

Due to the nature of research compounds and cold-chain requirements, we are unable to accept returns on opened or used products. If you receive a damaged or incorrectly fulfilled order, please contact our support team within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence and your order reference. We will assess the situation and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Discretion & Privacy

Yes. All orders are dispatched in plain, unmarked outer packaging with no branding or product information visible on the exterior. The sender details on shipping documentation are limited to our logistics partner reference only. We understand that discretion is important to our clients and treat it accordingly.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect only the information necessary to fulfil your order and do not sell, share or distribute customer data to third parties outside of our fulfilment and payment processing partners. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.

Research Use Only. All compounds supplied by Zürich BioGenix are intended exclusively for in vitro scientific research and analytical purposes. They are not approved medicinal products and are not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic or any other use in humans or animals. Supplied in accordance with EU Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH).
