Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of ACTH(4-10), originally developed by the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It upregulates brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and its receptor TrkB, potentiates dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission, and modulates the HPA axis. Research applications include cognitive enhancement, neuroprotection, attention and memory improvement, and stroke recovery models. This 10mg format provides an extended research supply.
Synthesised and lyophilised in Zürich to >99% HPLC purity. Lot-traceable with full COA available upon request.

Research & Literature
Semax was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Research has demonstrated its ability to upregulate BDNF and its receptor TrkB, enhancing neuroplasticity and neuroprotection. Studies by Manchenko et al. and others have documented its cognitive-enhancing properties in animal models, including improvements in learning, memory consolidation, and attention. Additional research areas include stroke recovery, optic nerve protection, and anxiolytic effects.
For research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Supplied in accordance with EU Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) for research and analytical use.
