KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a C-terminal tripeptide fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). As a naturally occurring sequence derived from the POMC (proopiomelanocortin) pathway, KPV retains the anti-inflammatory properties of the parent peptide while demonstrating improved stability and tissue penetration. Research areas include modulation of NF-κB signalling, intestinal epithelial barrier function, and local inflammatory cytokine suppression. Study models have investigated its role in colitis attenuation, wound healing acceleration, and skin inflammation reduction.
Synthesised and lyophilised in Zürich to >99% HPLC purity. Lot-traceable with full COA available upon request.

Research & Literature
KPV has been investigated primarily in the context of intestinal inflammation and mucosal immunity. Studies by Dalmasso et al. have documented its capacity to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokine expression (IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-8) in intestinal epithelial cells. Additional research highlights KPV's ability to penetrate epithelial barriers and interact directly with intracellular inflammatory mediators, independent of cell surface receptor binding. Dermatological models have also documented efficacy in reducing UVB-induced inflammation and accelerating epidermal repair.
