Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone structurally homologous to luteinizing hormone (LH), binding to the LH/hCG receptor to stimulate steroidogenesis in gonadal tissue. In male models, it drives testicular testosterone production via Leydig cell activation; in female models it supports follicular luteinisation and progesterone synthesis. hCG has been widely studied in reproductive endocrinology, gonadal axis research, and hormonal recovery models.
